Sadly, Dorothy passed away at 4.45am on 25th January 2025 at the age of 90.
Many in the world of dogs will have known Dorothy or known about her and her dedication to the Lhasa Apso, her name and the name Orlanes are legendary in our breed.
Dorothy got her first Apso, Sparky (Ch Everglo’s Spark of Gold ROM) in 1963 and so began the amazing Orlanes kennel from whence many Champions emerged and eventually, years later came the famous BIS Eng & US Ch Orlanes Intrepid who made such an impact here in the UK being the sire of Ch Saxonsprings Hackensack, the first lhasa Apso to win Best in Show at Crufts.
Dorothy’s and Intrepids legacy lives on.
